The Project Manager Window serves as the central hub for managing all aspects of your projects, including building proposals, handling sales orders, and managing customer invoices. It integrates seamlessly with jobs and other features of the system, enabling efficient project tracking and profitability analysis.

The Project Manager Window is divided into three main sections:

  1. Project Proposal Builder: Tools for creating detailed proposals with pricing, terms, and descriptions.
  2. Sales Order Tab: View and manage sales orders tied to the project.
  3. Customer Invoices Tab: Generate and track invoices for completed projects.

Use the navigation menu on the right to jump to specific sections for more details.


Project Proposal Builder

The Proposal Builder is a versatile tool that allows users to create professional project proposals by compiling job estimates, applying cost calculations, and customizing presentation details.

Key Features:

  • Proposal Items Manager:

    • Add, edit, or remove proposal line items.
    • Rearrange items using + and - buttons for better organization.
  • Introduction and Terms & Conditions:

    • Add or edit a custom introduction note and terms using simple pop-up editors.
    • Use default templates or create new ones to suit your proposal.
  • Flexible Pricing Options:

    • Include totals and taxes if necessary.
    • Switch between Markup and Margin calculation methods for profit analysis.
  • Preview and Export:

    • View a live preview of the proposal.
    • Export as HTML, Word document, or email directly to clients.
How to Use:
  1. Start by adding line items in the Proposal Items Manager.
  2. Use the Proposal Item Editor to refine pricing and descriptions for each item.
  3. Customize the proposal with an introduction and terms.
  4. Use the View/Print or Email Proposal buttons to finalize.

Sales Order Tab

The Sales Order Tab is designed for organizing and tracking orders related to your project. It integrates with proposals, ensuring consistent data flow and efficient order management.

  • Order Tracking: View and manage all sales orders associated with the project.
  • Reporting: Generate detailed reports for internal tracking or client-facing summaries.
  • Synchronization: Ensure all order data is aligned with customer and job details.

Customer Invoices Tab

The Customer Invoices Tab simplifies billing by enabling accurate and efficient invoice generation for each project.

The Jobs/RFQs Tab in the Project Manager links individual jobs to the project for enhanced data management. Key functionalities include:

  • Adding or removing jobs from a project.
  • Synchronizing project details (e.g., name, customer, owner) across all associated jobs.
  • Tracking cumulative costs to calculate project profitability.

Proposal Controls

  • Proposal #: Assign or edit the proposal number directly.
  • Show Total & Tax: Enable or disable total calculations and add tax rates as needed.
  • Relationships with Invoices: Proposal line items automatically appear in invoices, streamlining the process.

This tool helps calculate material costs when the amount of materials differs from the final output. It adjusts for waste, pieces per sheet, and cost per unit.

Supplier Quote Selector

Select and combine supplier quotes to build a unified bid for your proposal. This tool integrates supplier pricing directly into the proposal process.
